about

fot. Alex Lua

I.m a documentary photographer exploring human identity, emotions, and the connection between people and the world. My work draws from everyday life, beliefs, and rituals, focusing on social, cultural, and mystical themes. Through projects like “24 Places/Podlasie”, “Family Portrait”, and “Hidden People”, I aim to tell stories that challenge perspectives and reveal emotional depth.

I hold a degree in Press, Advertising, and Publishing Photography from the University of Warsaw and have dedicated over 15 years to mastering photography and reportage. My work has appeared in renowned outlets such as National Geographic Traveler, Gazeta.pl, TVN24, RÚV, and Morgunblaðið. I have participated in group exhibitions in Poland and Iceland, and recently had the honor of presenting the Best Documentary award at the European Film Awards ceremony in Reykjavik.

Currently, I am working on a photo documentary capturing the queer scene in Iceland, focusing on both vibrant performances and intimate backstage moments. My work continues to reflect my fascination with the extraordinary and the authentic.
